Víctor Campo Pérez

Postdoctoral Fellow

Víctor joined the Host-Pathogen Interaction in Tuberculosis Lab in October 2024 after completing his PhD in Microbiology at the Mycobacteria Research Laboratory of the Autonomous University of Barcelona and a postdoc period at the Bacterial Infections and Antimicrobial Therapies Group of the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia. During the thesis he explored the interaction of non-tuberculous mycobacteria with pathogenic microorganisms focusing on physiological characteristics and modulation of the immune response using in vitro and in vivo models.

At the Crick he aims to evaluate the response of Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains to antibiotic treatments by comparing in vitro and in cellulo approaches identifying potentially clinically relevant differences.
