Suzan Hammond
Project Manager: Translational Science & Industry Collaborations
Suzan's career began with a PhD in Life Sciences, where she generated new in vivo models for neuromuscular disease.
This was followed by ten years as an academic research scientist at Oxford University, developing gene therapies for neurodegenerative and neuromuscular disorders.
She authored and managed multiple programs, including two large MRC milestone-driven projects that required extensive collaboration with academic and industry partners.
Suzan then joined Oxford Biomedica as a Principal Scientist, leading a team of scientists in the product development of three drug targets.
As Project Manager in Translational Science and Collaborations at The Francis Crick Institute, she now manages large collaborative programs, such as the EPSRC Prosperity Partnerships, that unite scientific teams from both industry and academia.
