Parise joined the Host-Pathogen Interaction Lab in 2023 after completing her MSc in Applied Biosciences and Biotechnology at Imperial College London. During her masters, Parise studied the interaction of mycobacterial phosphatidyl-inositol mannosides (PIMs) with THP-1 macrophages. Her PhD focuses on the local evolution of pH tolerance in mycobacterial species and their host-pathogen interactions towards macrophages.
