Michael O'Sullivan

PHD Student

Michael received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry (MChem) from the University of York in 2022. He spent his final year in industry at Sosei Heptares, a biopharmaceutical group focused on the development of new medicines to target GPCRs. His project involved the design, synthesis and analysis of target compounds for an early-stage Medicinal Chemistry project. He has always been interested in using Chemistry to address unmet medical need, and during his time at York he developed an interest in how cross-disciplinary research could help achieve this. Whilst at the Crick, Michael’s research will focus on the development of artificial molecular machines for transmembrane communication.
