If you are registered for a master's or undergraduate degree in the UK we can host you to undertake a research experience or project that is linked to your degree, or for a short research placement.
To undertake a research project that contributes to your degree for up to nine months in a Crick host laboratory, you must meet the following criteria:
- You should have the right to live and work/study in the UK.
- You should be registered on a degree programme within the UK.
- The research project work undertaken at the Crick must be used to fulfil degree assessment requirements at your home institution.
- You should have sufficient funding to support your living costs while at the Crick.
To undertake a short research placement that is not linked to your degree for up to three months maximum, you must meet the following criteria:
- You should have the right to live and work/study in the UK.
- You should be registered on a degree programme within the UK.
- This kind of placement cannot be carried out unpaid. These placements must be funded via either (i) a short, paid position offered by the Group Leader that has agreed to host you, or (ii) a competitive studentship or scholarship that has been awarded directly to you to support you during the placement, for example, by a university or a professional society.
