In the lab
Javier is fascinated by cell decision-making in a developmental context, in particular how signals induce changes in transcription factors to activate genes in an efficient and regulated manner. Javier completed his undergraduate studies in Madrid (UAM), Masters in Barcelona (UB & CRG) and PhD in Cambridge. He joined the QSCB lab at the Crick in spring 2025 to carry on the pursuit of his scientific interests.
Outside the lab
Dancing, sailing, cycling, volleyball, cooking and reading.
