Flemming Hansen

Group Leader – Satellite

Flemming completed his PhD in biophysical chemistry at the University of Copenhagen in 2005, whereafter he joined Prof. L.E. Kay at the University of Toronto for postdoctoral training.

Flemming started his independent research career as a BBSRC David Phillips Fellow in 2010 at University College London, where, in 2017, he was promoted to full professor and Chair of NMR spectroscopy.

Flemming has been actively involved with the development of solution NMR spectroscopy for more than two decades and he is currently spearheading the development of deep learning tools to analyse and transform complex NMR data. Flemming is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and he moved to the Crick as a group leader (satellite) in April 2024.
