Our approach

We equip scientists and science-led entrepreneurs with the skills and networks to bridge the gap from lab to market, whether their background is from academia, industry, the clinical research or the commercial sector. 

Our portfolio of training and leadership programmes is designed to help innovators in the earliest stages of their journey from ideation to Series A. 

Entrepreneurs within and outside the Crick can join our community to access tailored entrepreneurship training and become part of our vibrant ecosystem of innovators, industry leaders and investors. Our network extends across the UK and internationally from our base in the Knowledge Quarter, London’s hub for biomedical and data science innovation.

Crick Science Entrepreneur Network (CSEN) is a community for researchers to explore entrepreneurship, connect with peers, and take part in activities like the annual Crick Innovation Challenge, where entrepreneurial researchers form teams and propose businesses that tackle challenge themes.

Ideation

PULSE, the Programme for Up and coming Life Science Entrepreneurs, is a three-day leadership and entrepreneurship bootcamp run in partnership with the BioIndustry Association.

Early-stage 

KQ Labs is our flagship pre-seed accelerator for data-driven health ventures. Over five months, founders access our tailored curriculum, expert mentorship and strategic fundraising support, including joining our portfolio.  

Our NG Studios x KQ Labs accelerator programme is a partnership between KQ Labs and Northern Gritstone, delivering a tailored curriculum and mentorship to life science teams spinning out from Northern Arc Universities.
