Edward Carr

GROUP LEADER

Ed completed an MB/PhD at Trinity Hall, Cambridge and post-graduate medical training in nephrology and general medicine in Cambridge and nearby hospitals. After his PhD with Prof Ken Smith, he spent his academic training posts with Dr Michelle Linterman’s group at the Babraham Institute.

His lab’s work focuses on the heterogeneity of immune responses between individuals, both at times of health and disease. The lab studies antibody responses after vaccination as a route to better understand their selection after any antigen encounter.

Ed is supported by an MRC clinician scientist fellowship, and his group is seconded to the Crick.
