About our crash courses

About our crash courses

Crick Crash Courses started life as talks for our staff, to help everyone working here – scientists and non-scientists – better understand the Crick's discovery research into how life works.

We're now opening our doors to our crash course talks, giving everyone, everywhere, the opportunity to hear directly from our scientists as they investigate some of the most complex challenges in human health.

Do I need a background in science to watch a Crick talk?

Do I need a background in science to watch a Crick talk?

Most of the talk will be accessible to an audience from a non-scientific background who have an interest in science and/or in the topic covered.

Because the scientist is talking about their research, there may be sections of the talk which explore the area at a greater depth, but our speakers aim to given enough context for an engaged audience to follow.
