Aurora joined the Francis Crick Institute in October 2023 as a secondee in the Business Development team, where she manages the Crick’s cancer portfolio. In her role, she works closely with Crick researchers to build trusted relationships and support cancer research translational projects to advance discoveries from the lab towards patient benefit.
Aurora brings extensive experience in technology transfer and research translation from her work at Cancer Research Horizons (CRH), where she is a Senior Translation Executive. In this capacity, she has been responsible for developing and implementing strategies to translate Cancer Research UK-funded research, spanning project acquisition and development, intellectual property management, commercial assessment and strategic portfolio management.
Aurora has a strong scientific background, holding an International PhD in Molecular Medicine from Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele (Milan, Italy), with a focus on cancer genomics, epigenetics, and drug target identification. She also obtained a Master’s degree in Medical, Molecular and Cellular Biotechnology (cum laude) from the same institution.
