Amir Babaei-Mahani

Amir is based in Washington DC, USA, where since 2017 he has led strategy and mergers and acquisitions at Danaher Corporation, a large public life science and diagnostics industry player. 

Previously, Amir spent nearly five years at Johnson & Johnson in Europe, latterly leading New Ventures and Transactions for Medical Devices across the EMEA region, and initially building, commercializing and managing the external innovation portfolio of products and digital healthcare services. 

Amir also worked as a management consultant at McKinsey in London, where he was a leader in the Healthcare, Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices practices; and spent over 10 years in the NHS, as a trauma and orthopaedics surgeon and university lecturer in anatomy. Amir maintains an active membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and is a reviewer for the Bone and Joint Journal.
